Harvest A New North
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The racialized disparities in pre-existing health maladies caused the impacts of Covid -19 to be exceedingly destructive to communities of color. This reality coupled with the simultaneous community upheaval associated with the George Floyd murder and trials bred an atmosphere of fear and anxiety.
In response, we utilized our CPAG to conceive, develop, and execute a free-to-the-public community event featuring world-class entertainment that also delivered hot meals, health resources, family needs assistance, books, school supplies, and more.
On August 19th, 2023 we present our third annual “Harvesting a New North” with the incomparable Sounds of Blackness, Known MPLS, dance groups, and an amazing interracial amalgamation of singers and musicians from several diverse Twin Cities churches.
